Digital practice in kindergartens
In the Norwegian survey 'Spørsmål til Barnehage-Norge' in autumn 2021, 6 out of 10 kindergartens said that they have acquired administrative digital tools, and nearly half have acquired administrative digital tools for use in pedagogical work during the past year (Naper et al. 2022).
The survey also shows that 9 out of 10 kindergartens use digital tools either daily or weekly to communicate with parents and guardians. Moreover, 8 in 10 kindergartens use digital teaching aids to document pedagogical work, and 6 in 10 use them to plan and assess activities in connection with children's play and learning.
More than 8 out of 10 kindergartens say that they have established procedures for the secure handling of images, procedures for informing parents about the use of photos they take of children in the kindergarten, and procedures for the situations in which they can take photos of the children.
